Getting Old

This weekend was my 10 year high school reunion---for real! I feel so old having to admit that for some reason. Forrest and I had a great week leading up to the big event. On Monday night we had dinner at the Gandhi's with some friends and were able to celebrate Julie's 30th birthday as well as Claire and Jay's arrival home from their honeymoon! On Tuesday night I had a "rec writing party" with the AOII alumni in town. This is one of my favorite nights of the year and this time was no exception. On Friday the Etowah County Bar hosted a cookout at one of the lawyer's offices. Despite the ridiculous heat it was such a fun way to hang out together and kick off the 4th of July week ahead. Forrest completed his 2nd full week of work on Friday and afterwards we headed to the lake to spend the weekend with my family. My brother was in town too so it made it all the more fun! We braved the heat on Saturday for our annual 4th of July trade day excursion and I have to say it was one of our best trips ever! Afterwards we spent a lazy day in the water trying to keep cool, which was easier said than done. Triple digit temperatures made for a hot afternoon---even the water was hot!
Jay and Bailey Ann came to visit. Don't worry--she loved the ride and their house is only 3 houses away!

Even Mac wanted to float!

That evening it was time for the big reunion and I have to say it was a blast! I had so much fun catching up with everyone! I ripped most of these pictures off of facebook--I was having so much fun I hardly took any for myself!

The next morning we went to church before having a delicious lunch at the Bailey's. It was extra special because Nana Frith was in town! That afternoon we lounged at the lake and enjoyed some really great pork chops off of the grill. We also stayed up watching the Olympic trials. I am OBSESSED with the Olympics and cannot wait for them to start later this month! Hooray! :)
Hope you are all staying cool and have some fun plans for the 4th later this week!!
