Hello friends! I feel like I have been the worst blogger in the world over the past week. I've hardly written, I've been completely absent from social media, and it's been several hot minutes since I've read or commented on anyone else's blog. Of course, I had a great reason to be MIA and that was our Service Guild Rummage sale! I know you are tired of me talking about it but I did want to report that we had a record year! We surpassed last years' total and I could not be any more proud! It made for a long day on Saturday, but it was totally worth the hours we put into it! Anyway, enough about me. Today I want to discuss my November goals with you! I think I started this last month and I really like it. At the end of the month when I work up my planner for the next month, I look back at my goals and see what all I completed. It's nice to be able to have an overall outline of what I want to get done during the month so those things are always at the back of my mind. The hope is that I will schedule them in when I get a chance! Ok, here goes the list: 1. SELL MY HOUSE! (that's not really something I can control but I want it out of the way) 2. Finish Christmas shopping--I have a great post lined up for you tomorrow about how I'm already totally owning Christmas, but I do want to be finished shopping for sure. I don't want to have to deal with that in December. 3. Find some new blogs to sponsor! Any ideas for me?? 4. Be extra committed to working out. Now that day light savings is over at it gets dark before 5 and it is freezing, I know I'll be reluctant to run after work. Of course, no part of me wants to run before work, so I'm going to have to use the treadmill. I started running on the treadmill and enjoyed it because I could wear whatever I wanted, watch tv, and not have to leave the house. However, it hurts my knees to run really fast on it (not that I'm really fast) so I don't like it much any more. I'm going to have to get over that and try to get the incline right so that I don't injure my knees. Any suggestions? I also would love to start going to a pilates or yoga class at the gym if I can fit it in! 5. Start packing what I can pack. We won't move until January and I am actually hardly thinking about our new house because it seems like it will be forever before we can move. Also, since our house hasn't sold I don't want to pack up everything because I want it nicely staged when people come to see it. I can, however, pack up the things that we don't need any more, like summer clothes and shoes, etc. I don't want to have boxes in the house when people come to see it but I think I'm going to have to get over that or else I'll go crazy when we do in fact move. 6. While we are on the subject of the new house, I need to get a move on with the decorating! How does one choose colors for their house? I'm easy to please in that I know what I like, which is most things, and I am quite vocal about what I don't like. I really only need to paint in the new house but I want to paint ALL of it and I just can't decide. Should I pick furniture first? I would like to paint first before we bring any furniture in, so that is something else to consider. Help!! 7. Decide what to bake/make for the holidays. I like to make treats for the holidays but they stress me out to no end. I need to decide how much I need and for whom, and then go ahead and mark off a day to devote to baking in December. If I go ahead and choose my recipes and make my shopping list this month, I can pick up stuff as I see it in the stores and hopefully make my life easier come December. 8. Take my clothes to the consignment shop. I go through this every year. I pick out the clothes I don't wear any more and store them until the right season to consign them. Then, it takes me nearly the whole season to actually take them. I should have taken my winter clothes in August but here we are. I need to get with it. Ok--that should keep me busy for a while. What are your goals for the month???
