We spent this weekend celebrating all things DAD!! Charlotte is a very very lucky little girl. She has a daddy, 2 grandfather's, and 2 great grandfathers who love her to the moon! I've never seen grown men turn to mush as easily as these guys do with Charlotte. She will get away with just about anything in life with these guys around!
We started our weekend with a date night with friends and C got to spend time with her Uncle Davis and Aunt Megumi. Poor thing fell and busted her lip and scared them half to death but she was fine! We woke up to overcast skies on Saturday morning so we thought we would start Father's Day weekend at the park. It has been so hot lately that we have been reluctant to go so C was so excited to see the playground, ride the train, and pet her favorite goats!
Since my sister was in town we had lunch with her at my parents before we all went and took wonderfully long naps that afternoon! We went back to my parents' house for dinner that night to celebrate my dad--Charlotte's Pop. She had a blast playing in the baby pool and chasing bubbles and of course the steak dinner!
On Father's Day we went to church where C was actually quite well behaved for once. Afterwards we celebrated Papa B with a "meat-egeddon" cooked by Davis. C had a great time feeding Papa B's chickens and seeing uncle Mike's cows!
After another fabulous nap, we took C for a little family time at the pool. She LOVES loves loves the water and you can't help but smile when you see her joy. She squealed and splashed and smiled the whole time. She loves jumping off the side of the pool to Forrest and loves when he "throws" her.
C is so lucky to have as wonderful a daddy as she has in Forrest. He loves his little girl so much and would do just about anything for her. I always knew he would be a great dad but I have loved every minute of watching him be one. We are blessed to call him ours!!
